Important Note: There are two methods for selecting your decking (or ceiling or wall covering). The First Method is for those who know the exact lengths of each board that they want. The Second Method is for those who know the total linear feet they want... or they know the area they want to cover. See discussion on both methods for more on this. The First Method follows below:

If you would prefer to solicit bids on the total LF (linear feet) of decking (or ceiling or wall covering) and bypass the rather tedious method above, then the Second Method is for you. If you know the total number of LF, enter it in the box below. If not, don't break into a cold sweat. You just need to know the area of decking (in square feet) and what % of waste you will have. The more complicated and "cut up" the design... and the more "herringbone" the decking, the higher the % waste. A simplier deck might have only 5% waste while a wild looking thing might have 25% waste. Hint: Err on the side of safety.

When you order decking in total LF, it is shipped in what we call RL (random lengths) which means approximately equal amounts of 8', 10', 12', 14', 16' and 18' boards.

I have read, understand and agree that Mike French, his company and his websites are helping to provide me with competitive bids for my hardwood order from several hardwood suppliers. I understand that responsibility for the materials and its delivery lies solely with the supplier I buy from and I agree to hold Mike French, his company and his websites harmless should I get ticked off at something done or said by one of these suppliers.

Furthermore, I understand that Mike does not work for free. I owe him a 7.5% broker's fee when and if I place my order with one of his suppliers. Note: I understand that all supplier bids are supposed to have this broker's fee included in their numbers to me. It is not an extra charge. I also understand that, should I attempt to make an "end run" around Mike and avoid paying his commission that I should be ashamed of myself... plus I owe Mike a 15% broker's fee. The extra 7.5% is for liquidated damages.

[Note from Mike: Sorry I've got to be so hard nosed. You and I both know that some people will steal from you if you give them the chance.]
